Well, how lovely it was to be invited back for a 2nd consecutive year to host ‘The Goldwell Colour Zoom After-party’ in Barcelona. Naturally, we were thrilled! A fabulous client in a fabulous city. And Barcelona…. what an incredible place you are!
I felt so so welcome during my short stay that I couldn’t bear to leave. Mind you, it wasn’t hard hard when your hotel has a luxury roof top bar and pool over looking one of the best views of Catalonia !
Even more than the views though, what attracted me most to the city is that you can almost feel the support for the arts within this diverse and beautiful city.
As an artist you are ‘understood’ here. So what a perfect place for a world artistic event! No wonder Goldwell choose to host their 2017 ‘Global Colour Zoom’ in this vibrant city.
Strolling around Barcelona on our girlie mini break, we took in and thoroughly enjoyed the city’s beautiful, narrow, meandering streets. Even though this is a busy city, the Mediterranean spirit of the place lends it a ‘laid back’ atmosphere where rushing seems wrong and lazy window shopping and sightseeing…so right! We had so much fun in fact that we decided to extend our stay in order to enjoy this amazing city and a jug or two of sparkling sangria of course! Well it would’ve been rude not to!
And what else made us little Itties love this city so much? Simple really; it loves to live life to the full and its ‘fiesta’ feel makes for a perfect place to party!
Cue …. us… The IT Girls!
We took over a fantastic Japanese restaurant/ club called Shoko for the Goldwell after party celebrations . Going retro, we took the venue back to the 1980’s within our show set, using a brilliant 80’s mash up of Salt’n’Pepper, Bowie, Belinda Carlisle and of course the unforgettable Cindy Lauper. The crowd was absolutely brilliant and needed no encouragement when it came to taking to the dance floor and having the time of their lives! The incredible Miss Portia gave an outstanding vocal performance as always as well as hosting the audience karaoke!! #toomuchfun
Mucho thanks go to the fabulous IT Girl dancers who included Miss Kayleigh (who also helps tremendously with every event behind the scenes), Miss Fallon, Miss Claire & Miss Keeley.
I must give extra special thanks to my amazing friend and choreographer, Mr Kevan Allen who helped make this all happen for us and the clients; all with the wonderful support of Sophie Pyecroft, and of course Kevan’s amazing entourage- Paul, Claire & IT boy Tim!!!
So another fabulous event in another stunning venue in a truly beautiful city! My, my…. aren’t we clocking up the air miles with our endless overseas events? But before we say good-bye to 2017 however, we do have another international event just on the horizon! #passportsattheready
WE know that you’ll want to hear all about our adventures so watch this sparkling space for more twinkling tales on our forthcoming little trips abroad and of course our very, very special Christmas events!
See you soon. Xxx
